In the paper is present the use of the nonparametric Chi square test on the distribution of the X feature in the power industry, as a new method for analyzing SCADA reports. It is a statistical method for analyzing reports of different types, organizing them, summarizing them and drawing conclusions based on the information they contain. In this particular case, the condition of the power transformer TR2 was tested in the paper, with the corresponding fields: C03-transformer field TRP2 400 kV and D18-transformer field TRP2 220 kV in the substation Obrenovac. The goal of this paper is to describe the importance of statistical mathematical analysis with nonparametric Pearson's Chi square test, which has found use in the field of electric power in order to obtain a new strategy for preventive maintenance of electric power devices.
